Shoreline protection

Hitech Construction is a leader in providing and delivering sustainable solutions to coastal erosion across West Africa. With already completed major projects in Nigeria, Hitech has helped to keep the Atlantic Ocean from further encroaching on endangered sections of shoreline. In addition to shoreline protection, Hitech offers marine solutions for land reclamation, river canalization, and dredging. Two recent shoreline protection projects include the Lagos Shoreline Protection and phase 1 of the shoreline protection plan for Ahmadu Bello Way in Lagos Nigeria.

Highways

With an experienced team of experts, and a fleet of heavy utility vehicles, Hitech has completed hundreds of kilometers of highways, roads, toll gates, bridges and inner-city roads, all built to the highest principles of sustainable construction. Some current projects include:

  • The Epe Expressway: complete reconstruction of 50km of major primary road in the eastern suburbs of Lagos. The project also called for the construction of two 20 lane toll plazas, construction of bridges, over 300km of drainage, round-a-bouts, and intersection.
  • Approach road to Lagos Airport: Reconstruction of 6km of road from the Lagos Airport including 2 new bridges, and 5 new pedestrian bridges.

In addition to roads and highways, Hitech provides sustainable solutions for infrastructural needs of a city. Hi-tech has built, refurbished, and expanded numerous bridges. Further, Hitech has built drainage, storm water, water, waste water, and electrical reticulation schemes. Two such notable projects include.

  • Ajah Flyover: An 800 meter long flyover. The bridge itself is 160m long and 2 lanes in each direction, with an intersection below the bridge. The project, utilizing Pre-cast, pre-tensioned beams, and MSC walls, was able to save the client on time and cost. The project was delivered ahead of schedule.
  • Eko Atlantic City bridges. All of the bridges to date in Eko Atlantic City have been built by Hitech. The technology, materials, and methodology used in the construction of the bridges resemble those of the Ajah Flyover previously mentioned.

The combination of on-site professional management and office-based engineering, design and planning staff, equipped with advanced computerized facilities, has enabled Hitech to maintain itself in the forefront of Construction and Engineering Technology in Nigeria.
